The UK Proms Weekend returns to the historic castle as part of a nationwide tour of eight iconic locations. Featuring beloved classics from film and stage, plus a rousing finale of Last Night of the Proms favourites, with special guest host Helen Skelton. A spectacular evening of music in one of England's most atmospheric venues.
An Evening with David Nicholls, Theatre by the Lake, Keswick

Join celebrated author David Nicholls in conversation about his writing, from the worldwide bestseller One Day to his latest novel You Are Here. Set in the heart of the Lake District, his new story follows a midlife couple on a transformative ten-day walk through the Lakes and Dales, exploring love, loss and second chances. Book signing follows the event.

Broadcaster Steph McGovern launches her debut crime novel Deadline in conversation with bestselling author Ann Cleeves. Expect an engaging evening of storytelling, discussion, and audience Q&A, followed by a book signing.
Beatles Complete, Rosehill Theatre, Whitehaven

With over 200 shows at the world-famous Cavern Club, Beatles Complete are the youngest Beatles tribute band to hold a residency there. Aged 18 to 22, they capture the spirit and energy of the early Beatles, delivering classic songs with passion and authenticity.

The K’s return to Carlisle for an intimate, stripped-back performance to celebrate their new album, Pretty on the Internet. Expect an evening of heartfelt indie anthems and personal stories from the band. Ticket bundles include options for CD and vinyl editions of the new album.

Boutique folk music and dancing festival celebrating local artists and culture with special guests, set in acres of carefully landscaped countryside with a maximum 500 people creating an intimate, magical atmosphere.

Come face to face with moving animatronic dinosaurs featuring spikes, quills, horns, feathers and bright colours based on recent research, alongside replica fossils, skeletons and detailed illustrations by acclaimed artist Luis V. Rey.
To the Gate – My Daily Walk by Alan Stones, Heaton Cooper Studio, Grasmere
12 June - 30 July
Personal collection of paintings responding to the landscape around Blencarn in the Eden Valley, featuring a three-mile daily walk to a gate above Kirkland village, with layers of opposing elements capturing the essence of undulating Cumbrian countryside.
Paul Shepherd Exhibition, Red Barn Gallery, Cumbria
Throughout June and July
Cumbrian artist Paul Shepherd presents his second exhibition following retirement from a 40+ year defence career. Trained at Carlisle College of Art, Paul draws inspiration from Old Masters, using dramatic light and colour to convey emotion. His work explores history, geopolitics and spirituality. Red Barn Gallery open daily, 9am-5pm.
